Here’s the dilemma: You’ve got a 24 hour flight to australia, 8 hours iPod battery life, and a drive full of movies you’d planned on watching. You could charge your ipod on the plane, and watch the movies on a screen the size of your drinks mat, or you could hook it up to Panasonic’s new ‘iPod Merge’:
“iPod merge is not just a connector for the iPod, but gives you full access to your iPod multimedia content—including music and images—using a dedicated user interface integrated in their inflight entertainment system”
It connects via USB, and not only connects to iPods, but digital cameras too. Very useful for the journey home. Expect it to be on flights around September 2009. Don’t expect it to be on EasyJet.
